1960 Topps # 025 - Bobby Mitchell - SGC 50
Mitchell, voted one of the 7 Greatest Redskins, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1983. In addition to starring for the Redskins, Mitchell began his career with the Cleveland Browns. Intent on competing in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome as a track star while starring in football and track for the Fighting Illini, he decided to forego the Olympic Dream to accept the generous offer proffered by Browns head coach Paul Brown. The rest, as they say, is history.

1960 Topps # 074 - Frank Gifford - SGC 60
“The Giff” was one of the most popular football players ever enshrined in Canton. A natural in front of the camera, Gifford, one of the NFL’s first pitch men, was a perfect fit in the Big Apple and at his alma mater, USC. Gifford was also one of the most versatile offensive players of his era, often responsible for Giants touchdowns in a variety of ways, running, passing, and catching.

1961 Fleer # 030 - Johnny Unitas - SGC 86
“Johnny U” was quite possibly the greatest and toughest quarterback ever to play pro football. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979, Unitas achieved instant stardom for his dominance of the New York Giants in the 1958 NFL Championship, widely believed to be the greatest game ever played. Giants linebacker Sam Huff recalls hearing Yankee Stadium announce, the legendary Bob Shephard, announce “Unitas to Berry” more times than he cares to recall.

1961 Fleer # 032 - Lenny Moore - SGC 80
Moore was one of the greatest pass catching backs of all-time. He is the only player to have run for 40 touchdowns and caught 40 touchdown passes. This 7-time Pro Bowl selection and lifetime Baltimore Colt was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1975. He once scored a touchdown in 18 straight games.

Parker, the legendary Colts offensive lineman, was enshrined in Canton in 1977. He was a 10-time Pro Bowl selection and is a member of the NFL's 75th Anniversary Team.

1961 Fleer # 074 - Sam Huff - SGC 80
The subject of the great documentary TV special from the 1950s titled “The Violent World of Sam Huff,” this legendary New York Giants linebacker was one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1982, Huff finished his career with the Washington Redskins, for whom he is the radio voice to this day.

1961 Fleer # 075 - Andy Robustelli - SGC 86
Although he was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams, Robustelli bacame a New York Giants legend in the mid 1950's and ealry 1960's. Enshrined in Canton in 1971, Robustelli was actually a 19th Round draft pick in 1951. He went on to appear in seven Pro Bowls.

1961 Fleer # 084 - Dick "Night Train" Lane - SGC 86
Lane, who was orphaned shortly after birth, was raised by a woman who found him in a dumpster. He went on to become known as "Night Train" Lane, one of the greatest defensive backs in NFL history. During his rookie season alone, he intercepted 14 passes. This 10-time Pro Bowler was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1974 and is a member of the NFL's 75th Anniversary Team.

Starr, a legandary quarterback who led the Green Bay Packers to two Super Bowl victories as the games' MVP and three NFL Championships, was enshrined in Canton in 1977. A graduate of Alabama, Starr played for two of the greatest coaches of all-time, Paul "Bear" Bryant and Vince Lombardi.

1961 Fleer # 089 - Jim Taylor - SGC 86
Taylor, a standout running back at LSU, was drafted in the second round by the Green Bay Packers, a team with which he enjoyed an 8-year stint. Named the NFL's MVP in 1962, Taylor was a 6-time Pro Bowler and winner of three NFL Championships. He was enshrined in Canton in 1976.
