Perhaps one of the greatest five-tool players of all-time, Roberto is adored throughout the world. Clemente finished his career with exactly 3,000 hits, was a 12-time All-Star, 12-time Gold Glove Award winner, and was enshrined into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973. His records with the Pirates include three triples in the same game and ten hits in two consecutive games. Clemente is the only player to hit a walk-off inside the park grand-slam. He died tragically in a plane crash on New Year's Eve of 1972 while flying to Nicaragua to aid earthquake victims.

Koufax was perhaps the most dominating left-handed pitcher of all-time and one of the most beloved Dodgers in their storied history. Such dominance was never more apparent than his performances in Games 1 and 4 of the 1963 World Series and Games 5 and 7 of the 1965 World Series. Sandy, a 3-time Cy Young Award winner, was enshrined into the Hall of Fame in 1972. Being 36, this made him the youngest played to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Winning the Gold Glove Award an amazing twelve times prompted one sportscaster to say that “Willie Mays should play in handcuffs to even things up.” Joe DiMaggio once stated that Mays possessed the greatest throwing arm in baseball. It’s interesting to note that Willie’s father allegedly began teaching him to catch before he could walk.
